WWE Live Event Results (6/29): Fargo, ND

(6) Bray Wyatt (w/ the Family) def. Alex Riley

Riley got a decent reaction. The latest Wyatt Family video plays in the arena and Wyatt and family make their way towards the ring. Wyatt has a mic and gets the crowd amped up for the match. Almost how a face would talk on the mic. Saying something like, glad to be here in Fargo. He ended his promo by saying “Follow the Buzzards.” Throughout the match the crowd was pretty quiet as they were not sure whether to cheer for Wyatt or not. I absolutely was as watching Wyatt in the ring was great to watch. I for one cannot wait for these guys to debut on TV. Harper and Rowan provide and eerie presence outside the ring. Harper walks around the ring slowly and reacts to nothing. He was walking along and some guy stood up and said some things to him but Harper kept his pace and simply looked at the guy for 10 or so seconds. Rowan was wearing the lamb mask for most of the match until Riley was starting to get things going his way. Rowan flipped out in anger and took the mask off and hoped up on the apron. This lead to Wyatt getting the pinfall.

-A Paul Heyman video plays basically to bash the home crowd and to introduce his newest client, CURTIS AXEL!

-Several WWE Superstars came by my gym earlier in the day, and they were very willing to take pictures. When I had a chance I quick ran home to get my replica Intercontinental WWF belt. I was never sure if I wanted the belt to be signed or not, but once the opportunity came about I figured I should. I was mainly not sure because it is a WWF version of the belt as opposed to the current version. Then I thought it was silly of me not to have it signed. I came back and had the belt sitting on the desk and he asked me “ did someone go through my bag?” I told him, no, this is my belt. Would you care to sign it? He willingly accepted. I really wanted the belt to be signed by wither Rick Rude or Mr. Perfect, but, obviously, that will never happen. So once Axel walked through the door I thought why not. I brought the belt to the show and Axel was holding up on the side of the ring I was on and he pointed and said there it is or something like that. I was in row I or 9 in numeric terms.

(7) Curtis Axel def. The Miz

Crowd was in favor Miz. Most over I’ve seen for a Miz face reaction, possibly because it was live rather than on TV. Good match back and forth. Miz put Axel in the figure four, but Axel got to the ropes in time. Axle hit Miz with the swinging neckbreaker, but Miz kicked out. Axel got out of the ring and headed up the stage. Miz chased after him and the brought it back near the ring. Axel whipped Miz into the barricade. Axel got in the ring when the referee got to 8, but Miz got into the ring just before the count of 10. Curtis Axel wins by countout.

(8) Sheamus def. Ryback in a Tables Match

Ryback received a mixture of boos and cheers. Probably 60-40 boos to cheers. Sheamus’ music hit and got a huge pop. Match was pretty physical. Mostly a brawl. Good match from these two, not amazing. Sheamus eventually would hit Ryback with a Brogue kick and Ryback fell through a table set up in the corner.

Getting to meet some of the superstars was almost more fun than the event. All of the WWE and TNA wrestlers that I have met have all been very nice to me. I am glad to work at a gym to be able to meet them. Good show overall. It was what I expected and had fun.

Biggest Pops:

1.       Daniel Bryan

2.       Sheamus (very close second)

3.       Zack Ryder

Biggest Heat:

1.       Vickie Guerrero

2.       Prime Time Players

3.       Ryback
