WWE Smackdown Results (7/5) – Christian vs Orton, Punk vs Alberto

Teddy Long is backstage talking about the main event, then he says he needs to hang up because someone is banging on his door. Paul Heyman walks in and asks what he wanted, and Teddy says he wants Heyman on commentary tonight because he knows CM Punk better than anyone. Heyman says he doesn't want to do it because his friend asked him to stay away from ringside, but Teddy says he is running things. Teddy says Punk said he likes to do the opposite, so he is going to take the same thing into mind and have Heyman commentating during the main event. He says he thinks Heyman can provide some good insight, then he tells Heyman he'll see him out there and Heyman doesn't know what to say and just leaves.

Dolph says it would be an understatement to say the past few months were a blur, but the best night of his career was when he cashed in and beat Alberto Del Rio. Dolph says it gets fuzzy after that, but Alberto took advantage of him and beat him again for the title, and started coming out with a cheesy grin on his face. He says Alberto embraced them all of the sudden, but the fans didn't buy it and Alberto is just full of crap. Dolph says he's never claimed to be something he's not, and he's cocky, but he delivers every night and he's taking back his title at Money In The Bank.

Dolph Ziggler vs Drew McIntyre (w/ 3MB)

Dolph punches Drew in the corner and showboats a bit, then Drew punches him back and throws him into the corner and stomps him a few times. Drew hits a snap suplex for a near fall, then he whips him into the ropes and hits a backbreaker for a near fall before Dolph heads for the apron. Drew follows him and tries to kick him in the face, but Dolph ducks and Drew goes into the corner, so Dolph splashes him and follows with a dropkick. Dolph tries to lift him but Drew knees him, then he goes for another backbreaker but Dolph spins around and hits a Zig Zag for the win. 3MB jumps in the ring and tries to attack Dolph, but he gets away and teases a run in before getting away again and laughing on the ramp.

Winner – Dolph Ziggler
