Major Update on WrestleMania 31 Location; WWE Officials Meet at Cowboys Stadium

Wrestling Inc. has posted a photo of a sign at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, TX welcoming WWE Senior Vice President of Special Events John Saboor. According to their report, WWE officials including Saboor met with both the mayor of Dallas, TX and Arlington to discuss the potential of WWE holding their annual WrestleMania pay-per-view at Cowboys Stadium in 2015.

If the arena was booked for WrestleMania 31, it is possible WWE could break an all-time attendance record, not just for the stadium, but in the history of their annual blockbuster pay-per-view. The current record was set in 1987, when over 93,000 people packed the Pontiac Silverdome to watch Hulk Hogan bodyslam Andre the Giant.

Cowboys Stadium typically seats around 80,000 for NFL games, but according to stadium measurements, the arena can expand to seat over 100,000 fans with the floor in use.
