Triple HAustin vs. Triple H Not Happening

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that WWE still wants to do Steve Austin vs. Triple H at Wrestlemania XXX. The pitch would be Austin fighting for Vince McMahon's control of the WWE. The idea was proposed in creative but had never been agreed to. It looks like the idea is now completely off the books and there is not discussion of rehashing it. There is no word yet on exactly why the idea was nixed but the idea of The Rock in Austin's role has been talked about as well.

WWE had thoughts of having Triple H, Stephanie, and Vince coming together at SummerSlam, only for Triple H to go heel. Instead, WWE officials feels that Vince McMahon is better suited in the heel position heading forward.

Jake Roberts Continues His Push To Royal Rumble
