WWE Smackdown Results (8/30) – Orton vs Miz, HHH Disciplines Big Show, Ryback vs Bryan

Bill Pritchard

Daniel Bryan walks into Vickie Guerrero's office and asks why she requested him, and Vickie says he's not the face of WWE. She says she doesn't even want to see him right now, but he acted like a bully and bullies should be bullied back. Ryback enters the room and calls Bryan 'little fella', and he says he can't stand bullies. Ryback laughs and says he'll see Bryan in the ring, then he calls him a shrimp and walks away.

Rob Van Dam (w/ Ricardo Rodriguez) vs Damien Sandow

RVD hits a quick thrust kick for a near fall, then he whips Sandow and connects with a spinning heel kick and legdrop from the ropes. RVD kicks him a few more times then Sandow reverses a whip, and he throws him into the ringpost before repeatedly kneeing him in the ribs. Sandow hits a side Russian legsweep and the Elbow of Disdain, then he applies a side headlock but RVD elbows him and connects with a headscissors takedown. RVD crotches Sandow on the ropes and hits a top rope thrust kick, then he heads up top and hits a Five Star Frog Splash for the win. Alberto Del Rio comes out after the match and says RVD is the number one contender, but it's only because Ricardo betrayed him and the Latino people. Alberto says Ricardo is a dog, and RVD has Rolling Thuder, but he is going to rain of his parade at Night of Champions.
