WWE Smackdown Results (9/13) – Big Show Gets Night Off, Ziggler Fights For Title Shot, Cutting Edge w/ Bryan & Orton

Bill Pritchard

Michael Cole welcomes Paul Heyman and Curtis Axel to the ring for an interview, and he asks Heyman for comments but Axel cuts him off. He says Heyman is under alot of stress, but he's not worried about CM Punk getting to Heyman because Punk is never going to beat him. Heyman says he's not a fighter, and he is an advocate of peace, so he wants to publicly boycott Night of Champions and they should spend their money somewhere else. Heyman says they'll see Punk get his hands on him if they order the show, and he respects Axel, but he also taught Punk how to beat the system. He says Punk was his prodical son, and Punk is going to beat him up so badly that tonight might actually be the last time they see him. Heyman says he wants to be on record by saying he'll always love Punk, but he will never forgive any of the fans for what they have done.

He charges the corner but Ricardo counters with a tornado DDT for two, then RVD tells him to go up top so Ricardo sets up but Alberto crotches him on the ropes. Alberto kicks RVD through the ropes and climbs back up top, then he hits a superplex and covers Ricardo to get the win. He tries to attack Ricardo after the match but RVD jumps in and attacks him, then he hits a Five Star Frog Splash and celebrates as Alberto crawls out of the ring.
