WWE Smackdown Results (9/13) – Big Show Gets Night Off, Ziggler Fights For Title Shot, Cutting Edge w/ Bryan & Orton

Edge comes out and says Triple H is letting him host Cutting Edge because it's best for business, but he's only there right now because of the fans. He says he has no respect for HHH, who married into his position, and he saw what happened to Christian first hand and can't wait for him to get better. Edge says he doesn't want Christian to come back for 'one more match', but he wants him to come back and tear everyone apart. Edge introduces his guests Randy Orton and Daniel Bryan, then Edge says he'll cut to the chase and asks Orton how it feels to be a sellout. Orton says he expected the cheap shots, and he wants to know how it feels to be a broken talk show host while he stands there as a ten-time world champion.

Bryan tries to intervene but Edge tells him it's OK, and he says he's actually OK with it because he's an 11-time champion. Orton says he did what everyone else would have done, and HHH and the McMahons chose him to be the face of WWE because he is what's best for business. He says Bryan is a good wrestler and he's good for business, but he (Orton) is best for business and Bryan will never beat him. Edge asks Bryan if he thinks he's best for business, and Bryan says they might want him to pump his arms up and say yes, but he won't do that. Orton says he can't win, but Bryan tells him to shut up because he wants that title more than anything.

Bryan says he didn't want to be the head of a corporation, but he has always dreamed of being WWE Champion since he was a child. Bryan says he is going to achieve his dream at Night of Champions when he beats Orton, but Orton says he will help him get closer to the title if that's what he wants. Orton takes a swing at him and they go to the mat, but Bryan puts him in the YES Lock and refuses to let go until a group of referees run up and separate them. Orton rolls outside and holds his shoulder, but Bryan pumps up the crowd and starts a YES chant, then Edge cuts a Haven promo, addressed to HHH, as the show comes to a close.
