CM Punk comes out and says this show thrives on unpredictability, and sometimes he doesn't know what he'll do, but that's OK. He says being predictable is OK, just like Paul Heyman getting Ryback and Curtis Axel attacking him, but this story ends with him putting Axel to sleep. Punk says he will show Ryback what happens to real bullies, then he will finally get his hands on Heyman and there will be no one left to save him. Punk says he could end things at any time, but he thinks they should end tonight on RAW, then he says he wants to put Heyman out of his misery.

Brad Maddox comes out and tells him to hold up, and he knows what it's like to want to fight after being showed up, but a fight right now is not best for business. Maddox says Punk will get a fair shot at Ryback at Battleground, and he is in charge here, so he has the power to grant Punk a match if he wants one. Punk says he won't be told what to do, then Big E Langston comes out and says he's the man if Punk wants aggresion, and proceeds to hit Punk with the microphone. Langston tackles him in the corner and hits him a few times, then he goes for another tackle but Punk dives away and Langston hits the ringpost. Maddox waves for help and a referee runs out, then Punk throws his shirt into the crowd and calls for Langston to get up.

CM Punk vs Big E Langston

We get back from a commercial to join the match in progress, and see Punk kick Langston on the floor before heading up top and hitting a crossbody for two. Punk goes for a GTS but Langston floats over, then he drops Punk with judo throw and hits a big splash on the mat for a near fall. Langston applies a single leg crab but Punk fights back with kicks and chops, then he hits the ropes but Langston hits a shoulder tackle and puts him on his shoulder. Langston backdrops him but Punk tries to roll him up, then Langston slams him down and kicks him before Punk counters a powerslam with a kick to the head. Punk goes for a GTS but Langston counters with a clothesline, then he goes for a running splash but Punk rolls away and kicks him before hitting a neckbreaker. Punk connects with a kneelift and a clothesline, then he hits a top rope elbow drop and follows with a GTS for the win.
