WWE Issues Official Statement Regarding Network Launch Plans, Mike Adamle Returns To Wrestling

WWE Network Update

In a follow-up to yesterday's story about the WWE Network possibly launching in February 2014, WWE has reached out to Wrestlezone.com to issue the following statement:

"As discussed on WWE's last earnings call, we continue to aggressively pursue the launch of a WWE Network in 2014 via traditional and non-traditional distribution models; however no launch date has been confirmed."

Mike Adamle Taking Wrestling Bookings

Former WWE announcer and Raw General Manager, Mike Adamle, will be making his first wrestling-related appearance since his departure from the company in 2008. He'll be appearing at the Legends of the Ring convention in Monroe, New Jersey.

Interestingly, Adamle is being represented and booked by Wittenstein Bookings, the new booking agency of Barry Wittenstein. If you don't recall that name, Wittenstein was the one in the middle of the lawsuit TNA filed against WWE last year, where TNA accused WWE of using Wittenstein for private contract information he obtained during his employment there. The suit was dismissed early this year.
