The "Charismatic Enigma" Jeff Hardy defeated X-Division Champion Chris Sabin in a Full Metal Mayhem in the main event of Impact Wrestling tonight. Hardy won the match with a Swanton Bomb off the top of a ladder, after being put through a table by his opponent. Hardy will advance to the second round of the World Heavyweight Championship tournament.
Next week on a pre-recorded episode of Impact Wrestling, Olympic gold medalist Kurt Angle will face Austin Aries in a Submission Match with the winner also moving on to the semi-final round. The match was determined by TNA President Dixie Carter using her "Wheel of Dixie" – think Raw Roulette.
