New Michael Cole-Triple H Interview Reveals More on Potential TLC WWE Championship Unification, Daniel Bryan’s Abduction & More

WWE has posted yet another interview between Michael Cole and WWE COO Triple H that sheds more light on the potential WWE Championship unification match at TLC next month. There has been some confusion as to whether that match – a TLC match for both the WWE Championship and World Heavyweight Championship – will in fact unify the titles. The following is a quote directly from Triple H:

"The goal is one champion … One Undisputed WWE Champion. With the brand extension no longer in effect, there's no need for two champions. We only need one. If you represent the WWE as its champion, you represent the world."

WWE seems to be intentionally straying away from the term "unification" when discussing upcoming Randy Orton and John Cena plans, however, it would appear that is the plan as of right now. One big difference that would make on WWE's current landscape is that the Royal Rumble pay-per-view match would go back to being a definite shot at the one and only WWE Championship at WrestleMania, meaning plans would have to be more or less in place between January and April.
