The Rock Comments Further on the Passing of Paul Walker; Calls Him a “Soothing Presence” on Set

Former WWE Champion Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson spoke to Us Weekly on the death of his friend and Fast & Furious co-star Paul Walker, calling him a "soothing presence" while on set. The People's Champ also mentioned that they bonded over their family, more specifically that both men have daughters.

"It was always the number one topic we would talk about. We would talk about silly guy things, his fast cars and my pickup trucks, or we would talk about the beautiful energy of Hawaii — but it always ultimately came back to family. And very specifically, the beautiful and important bond between a father and his daughter, and how we both realized that over the years."

Paul Walker was 40-years-old when he died suddenly, and unexpectedly in a fiery car crash, as we reported this past weekend. He and a friend were leaving a benefit for victims of Typhoon Haiyan.

"Not surprisingly, when I got the news that he had passed away, the first words out of my mouth were, 'He has a daughter,'. It's very sad. We can't help but to hope that their final time together was beautiful and strong and an amazing memory."

Production has been delayed on Fast 7, however filming will resume once the team figures out how to handle this tragic loss. The Rock sent out the following Tweet yesterday:
