Bully Ray Speaks on Thinking Outside the Box in Wrestling

During a new interview conducted for The Poughkeepsie Journal, TNA star Bully Ray spoke on creating a buzz within the pro wrestling world when he made his surprise appearance at the last House of Hardcore event, attacking Tommy Dreamer. Ray went on to discuss the importance of thinking outside the box in wrestling, and had the following to say:

"It’s very important for companies to do things like that. It keeps it interesting for people and it keeps people into wrestling across the board. Nobody really, in wrestling, is knocking them dead right now and selling out every arena.

Wrestling is where it is right now. There’s a demographic that will always tune in and always buy merchandise and always buy the shows. But whenever you do something like I did at House of Hardcore, and people go, ‘hey HOH and TNA are working together,’ it’s lightning in a bottle. It’s a spark. TNA is also putting on a loaded card that night that people are going to want to be there in person for."

Is CM Punk Favored to Win the Royal Rumble?

The Royal Rumble is coming up on Sunday January 26 and is the first pay-per-view of 2014 for WWE. As we speak, many fans are likely already choosing their favorite to win the Rumble match itself and then go on to face the WWE World Champion at WrestleMania 30 in New Orleans.

And the name at the top of the list for many of those fans is CM Punk. Is the Best in the World the favorite to win the 2014 Royal Rumble?

For me, there are two reasons why Punk is likely the man favored to win the match. The first one has a lot to do with the fact that basically, he could very well be the best overall choice of the available Superstars ready to take that spot. And I believe there are only a few names that fit that description.

Nick was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, and lived there until the age of 18, when he decided to pack his flack jacket and move to New York City.

Nick attended New York University and graduated in 2001 with a degree in Drama.

Nick first entered the internet wrestling community back in 2004 when he became the co-host of The Voice of Wrestling Radio Show. From there, Nick made the transition from radio personality to editor when he began working with WrestleZone in 2008.

Nick is a member of two Off-Broadway theatre companies, Another Urban Riff, and the Drama Desk Award winning Godlight Theatre Company. Nick has appeared in over a dozen Off-Broadway plays since he moved to New York City, and has shot several short and feature length films. In 2010, he completed principle photography on a film titled "How to Score Your Life," which also features TNA Knockout ODB.

Inspiration in his life has come from many people including his family, Woody Allen, Steven Spielberg, Jack Nicholson, The Beatles, and of course, Lassie.
