wwe tribute to the troops

WWE Tribute to the Troops Results (12/28): John Cena Teams Up w/ Daniel Bryan and CM Punk, Daughtry Performs

-Bruce Willis with a pre-recorded “thank you” message to the troops. Pretty cool. Ryan Seacrest does the same, and nobody cares because it’s not 2004.

-Santino Marella comes out to introduce Daughtry.

-Daughtry plays “Waiting for Superman”. Some pretty emotional stuff as they show all the moms and dads in the crowd with their kids.

R-TRUTH vs. FANDANGO

Truth does his “what’s up?” shtick for the troops, who love it. Truth beats up on Fandango for a few minutes, hitting a sit-down facebuster. He tries for the scissors kick, but comes up empty. Fandango tries to sneak up from behind, but gets caught with the “What’s Up!” for the 1-2-3.

Decision: R-Truth wins via pinfall

-Alec Baldwin does a pre-recorded bit for the troops, talking about old military roles he’s played over the years. Will Farrell also does one, sort of quoting Anchor Man. Stay classy, US Armed Forces.

-The Bella Twins come out announced “from the hit show Total Divas”. Really? You sure they aren’t “from” being WWE Divas? They talk at the same time, and introduce Jeff Dunham. Jeff does some skits with Peanut about it not being Christmas anymore – not sure if anybody there got that, since it was recorded weeks BEFORE Christmas. Peanut makes fun of Obamacare’s website not being up yet, Bill Clinton, and the NSA tracking people’s cell phones.

-The Big Show comes out to cut off Jeff Dunham.

THE BIG SHOW vs. DAMIEN SANDOW

Sandow tries for a German suplex, but Big Show just stands there and laughs at the attempt. Show slams his rear end into Sandow’s face, and quiets the audience for a massive chop. Show laughs off a few hits from Sandow, before levling him with another chop. Show with a clothesline and splash in the corner, followed by the chokeslam. The KO Punch does its job, and Big Show picks up the 1-2-3 with literally no offensive from Sandow at all.

Decision: The Big Show wins via pinfall

-Daniel Bryan’s music plays, and he comes down to the ring with CM Punk and John Cena, all of them doing the “YES! point. The whole roster empties from the back and into the ring, doing Bryan’s chant. Yes, even the heels like Ryback and Fandango are in the ring thanking the troops. Mark Henry, Langston, Cena, Punk, Fandango and bunch of others go around signing autographs. Booker T is there. Sandow is hiding under the ring holding his jaw.
