There's a general concensus coming out of Monday's edition of Raw that Jake Roberts is a "lock" for the 2014 WWE Hall of Fame. Most expected Roberts to be inducted at some point in the future, but now it seems April 5th in New Orleans is quite the possibility.
Jake Roberts returned to WWE this week in the final segment of Raw, coming to the side of CM Punk and The New Age Outlaws as they fended off The Shield. Roberts, in full gimmick, brought a snake to the ring and used it to taunt a laid-out Dean Ambrose.
Prior to his return, Roberts had been lobbying for a spot in the 2014 Royal Rumble. Whether WWE ever had intentions of using him in the Rumble or not, recent reports suggest he will not be used in the match now.
Another name that has been rumored for this year's WWE Hall of Fame is The Ultimate Warrior, but that hasn't been confirmed either.
The 2014 WWE Hall of Fame will take place on Saturday, April 5 in New Orleans, one day before WrestleMania XXX.
