According to PWInsider.com, "Rowdy" Roddy Piper has been at odds with WWE officials for the better part of a year now, and it stems from WWE's taping of the Legend's House reality show.
The report notes that WWE wanted all talents who appeared on the Legend's House reality show to sign a contract stipulating they wouldn't work any other pro wrestling or MMA shows before the reality show airs. For those unaware, the Legend's House show was actually filmed well over a year ago and has yet to air. Because it's taken so long to air the show, Piper refused to sign the deal keeping him off other wrestling and MMA shows because his son is an MMA fighter, and Piper didn't want to sign anything that would potentially put his son's career in jeopardy. Piper wanted the ability to use his name and likeness to help his son if needed.
It's being said Piper and WWE officials did not resolve their issues until about 6 weeks ago, as WWE wants Piper for WrestleMania 30. The issues between the two sides is also the reason why Piper is not featured in the WWE 2K14 video game.
