Mark Henry Announces When He Will Retire From Professional Wrestling, Latest “JBL & Cole Show” w/ Cody Rhodes (Video)

Mark Henry Retiring in 2016

Mark HenryFormer World Heavyweight Champion Mark Henry has claimed that once his current contract with the WWE expires, he will retire from professional wrestling. His current deal is set to expire in mid-2016, some time after WrestleMania 32. However, Henry says he wants to work backstage with the younger guys after retiring, and has no plans to walk away completely, even after he's off television and out of the ring.

These comments come from a recent interview with James E. Causey of JSOnline.com

Mark Henry was off television for the first month of 2014, selling the effects of an attack by Brock Lesnar. He recently faced off against United States Champion Dean Ambrose, but was attacked by all three members of The Shield, costing him the championship. This is just the latest in a series of attacks to the "World's Strongest Man", as WWE seems to be keeping him to a limited schedule, likely to maximize the time he has left with the company. At this time it is unknown what role, if any, Mark Henry will play in WrestleMania XXX.
