WWE MSG Results (3/8): The Ascension Debuts, Triple Threat Tag Team Match, Batista & Cena Team Up

wwe msg resultsThanks to Denis for sending in the following results:

The first match of the night was a triple threat tag team match, Cody Rhodes and Goldust vs Ryback and Curtis Axel vs Jimmy and Jey Uso. It was a great match with the Uso's winning and then shaking hands with Cody and Goldust. Good way to get the crowd going early into the show.

The following match after was The Miz vs Justin Gabriel. Match ended short when Ryback came out and attacked the Miz then Gabriel, he would go onto the mic to say tonight is the night he changes his destiny which leads to Miz hitting The Skull Crushing Finale and then Justin goes on to hit the 450 splash.

We then got AJ vs Cameron. It was originally supposed to be a dance off but of course that didn't happen once Tamina attacked Cameron from behind which eventually would lead to AJ vs Cameron for the Divas title. AJ would win the match and Cameron would get a nice farewell to the back. Cameron can wrestle pretty well in my opinion so I wouldn't sleep on her as being a weak link to the divas division.

Kofi Kingston vs Damian Sandow followed with a funny promo from Sandow who re entered the entrance ramp trying to get a Frank Sinatra like response from the crowd. I didn't expect Sandow to be here since he was supposed to be at Salt Lake City, man I feel bad for the fans who were at that event tonight, anyways Kofi Kingston won the match with a Trouble In Paradise.

The next match before intermission would be Daniel Bryan vs Kane. Firstly Triple H would come out to cut a promo in front of the MSG crowd talking about all the A+ players who main evented in MSG and how Daniel Bryan would never do that, he would introduce Kane as the man who stops Daniel Bryan's yes movement. Daniel Bryan came out to arguably to the highest pop of the night (Cena is a close 2nd). The crowd kept chanting Yes and Daniel Bryan throughout the match. Triple H interfered at several points in the match causing Daniel Bryan to fall off the ropes and also throwing a referee out the ring. Daniel would end up winning with the running knee, afterwards Daniel wanted to face Triple H but Stephanie would come out and say it wouldn't happen. Finlay comes in the ring and keeps pushing Daniel and then gets hit back for a reward which leads to Bryan diving into Triple H and Kane outside the ring being followed with a loud roar of YES chants.

After intermission The Ascension came out to face Los Matadores, most of the crowd wasn't into it because of the chaos from the intermission break so most people were drowned out for a bit, but the match was good with the Ascension getting the win. (Got to meet The Ascension outside the arena before the show started and they are some really cool guys, they stood with the fans outside the guarded railings and all and casually talked to fans, you learn to appreciate people like that who aren't assholes and just walk by you or give you a wave to shut you up).

Alberto Del Rio vs Dolph Ziggler was next and it was one hell of a match. Crowd woke up from the last match a few minutes into the match with all the fast paced moves, a ton of close pin falls and as soon as Del Rio looked like he was close to winning he decided to pose to throw a tantrum outside the ring and yell at fans and would eventually get a Zig Zag to lose the match.

The main event was Batista and John Cena vs Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton. It was a interesting match to say the least. Match pretty much consisted of Batista getting some ring work then Cena would come in to get beat up for a few mins but then a shocker came when Cena tried to get a hot tag to Batista, Batista avoided the tag and pretty much made sure everyone know he was a heel now. Batista would attack Cena then but somehow Cena still won the match. Super Cena strikes again!

Interesting notes: The crowd was surprisingly very young here usually a lot of the adults come to MSG but I guess it's still to cold. A few CM Punk chants broke out but it was pointless.

Biggest Pops:

Daniel Bryan

John Cena

Cody Rhodes and Goldust

Usos

AJ

Heat:

Ryback

Batista

Alberto Del Rio (Not much though but only added him because no one else really good booed)

Overall great show and can't wait to go again
