According to PWInsider.com, when CM Punk decided to walk out on WWE following the Rumble, and officials began discussing Daniel Bryan vs Triple H for WrestleMania, the belief by almost eveyone in WWE was that Bryan would not be getting a substantial push even though Punk left.
However, things changed when WWE realized Punk would not be returning to the company, and the feeling is his walk out is the main reason why Bryan is where he is at this point.
People in WWE went from being patient with Punk's departure and silent on the matter, to adopting the attitude of "how dare Punk not return to WWE for WrestleMania."
It's also being implied that the "Yes movement" angle done on Raw this past Monday night, and some of the syntax used during the segment, was a "middle finger" to Punk, to send the message "this could have been you and now it's not."
