TNA Impact Wrestling Results (4/17) – Roode’s Tables Match Open Challenge, Monster’s Ball!

Backstage, Ethan Carter III is talking Rockstar Spud up about facing Willow tonight, and he says they are in a handicap match but they have an advantage. Ethan says Spud pushed Willow/Hardy off of a ladder and sent him away for months, then Spud gets all psyched up and walks out of the locker room.

Meanwhile, MVP is in the ring and says he hasn't heard from Samoa Joe, and he wants to know what's going on because Joe was called disgruntled. Austin Aries comes out and says he's been on the sidelines since Lockdown, and MVP should value him instead of looking past him. MVP says Aries lied to him, but Aries says MVP is bitter because of deception, and MVP says Aries needs to wake up. He says this is all about the fans, and MVP says he wants to validate Aries' worth now with a fight, then Aries goads him on and gets in his face. Aries backs off and says they can do this next week, and he won't fight a convicted felon, then he leaves MVP standing in the ring.

Tag Team Championships

The Wolves vs BroMans (c)

The Wolves kick the BroMans off the apron during their entrance, then Davey hits Robbie with a spinebuster before Jessie tags himself in. He assists Robbie with a double suplex attempt, but Davey floats over and Eddie helps him through both opponents on the floor. Davey heads up top but Robbie knocks him down, then he punches him a few times before Jessie and Robbie hit corner knee strikes. (Taz calls it a 'Double Boom') Jessie press slams Eddie and whips him into the turnbuckles, then Robbie goes for a forearm strike but he inadvertently hits Jessie. Eddie tags in and hits a double hurricanrana, then he repeatedly chops Jessie and whips Robbie into him. He chops Robbie several times before whipping him across the ring, then he connects with diving elbows to each opponent in opposite corners. Davey connects with a thrust kick before they send Jessie into the corner, but Zema runs in and attacks The Wolves with his laptop to cause the disqualification.
