Ryback Interview: Says He Got “Absolutely Nothing” From Working w/ Heyman

Chris Cash

Ryback interviewRyback interviewed with The Miami Herald recently and had some interesting comments toward his short time working with Paul Heyman. There were conflicting reports that came out regarding Paul Heyman's split from Ryback, including alleged backstage heat on Ryback that WrestleZone exclusively reported as false.

Regardless of the reasoning behind the split, Ryback doesn't have a positive memory of his time with Heyman. About his short run with Heyman, he told The Herald:

“I got absolutely nothing [from that]. It’s a time period I will not even think to look back on.”

Ryback continued by saying teaming with Curtis Axel was the only silver lining to his experience with Paul Heyman.

“Curtis Axel is a great, amazing human being,” Ryback said. “Working with him is the most fun I’ve had in wrestling in some time. The only positive thing from Paul Heyman was getting to be around Curtis Axel and getting that out of it. Me and Curtis go back to developmental together. I’m very happy we are getting a chance to mesh and gel on TV and come together as RybAxel.”

It was an interesting interview and worth the read. Ryback also discussed his short time in the main event, his Twitter rants, and what he sees as his future in the tag team division. Check out the full Ryback interview here
