Backstage Update on Mysterio's WWE Status
There has been no official word as to what went down when Rey Mysterio met with officials at the WWE Headquarters back on April 30th, but the impression given is that Rey was offered some type of Ambassador deal, which would see him do promo work for the company in Spanish language markets, and wrestle part-time.
While Mysterio's WWE status is said to be up in the air at the moment, Vince McMahon definitely wants him back on TV in some capacity.
WWE Stock Continues to Fall
WWE's stock closed yesterday at $17.83 per share, which is down 2% from Tuesday's close. The high for yesterday was $18.13, but the stock continued its downward trend by the time the market closed.
Another WWE Exec Leaves
Brian Maddox, WWE's Vice President of Global Digital Sales, left the company this week to work as Vice President of Advertising Sales for Silver Chalice Ventures, which creates video channels and new digital media for sports products.
