5/13 WWE Main Event Results: Sheamus & Cesaro Brawl, Alicia Fox Continues Her Meltdown, Sandow vs. Ziggler

Sheamus vs. Cesaro

Sheamus is in total control to kick off the match, going on the offense with rights and lefts. The match is bascially a brawl for the first few minutes with Sheamus throwing fists and Cesaro throwing…well, throws. Sheamus does his Ten Beats of the Blahblah on the ring apron, followed by a suplex to the inside, and picks up a two-count.

Cesaro hits a big boot to the side of the head. Another big boot connects, followed by an uppercut. Sheamus starts throwing right hands again, and hits a rolling senton. They fight their way to the top turnbuckle with Cesaro getting the upper hand, using uppercuts, and they come crashing down with a top rope armdrag.

After a commercial break Cesaro is still in control. During the break he hit a bunch of uppercuts – bit surprise. Sheamus fires up with clotheslines and a shoulder tackle, followed by a running knee lift, but he turns around into a clothesline. Sheamus counters with an Irish Curse backbreaker for a close two-count. He lines up for a Brogue Kick, but Cesaro ducks under and executes a German suplex with a bridge! 1…2…Sheamus kicks out.

Cesaro calls for the Neutralizer, but Sheamus counters with White Noise! He starts beating his chest, lining up for the Brogue a second time, and again he misses it. Cesaro rolls to the apron and uses the ropes to drop Sheamus down, but the Celtic Champ recovers and knocks him down with a double ax handle. He actually ascends to the top rope – not a very common occurance – and dives to the outside taking them both down. They brawl around the ringside area and Cesaro dumps Sheamus over the barricade into the time-keeper's area.

Cesaro does the honorable thing and breaks the ref's count. Sheamus clotheslines him over the barricade and they fight into crowd. The referee gets to a count of ten and has to throw this match out.

Result: Double Count-out

-After the match officials try to seperate the two, but Cesaro gets a steal chair and hits Sheamus over the back with it. They fight into the ring and Cesaro gets the chair again, but Sheamus hits him in the face with a Brogue Kick. The US Champ celebrates as Heyman and Cesaro regroup.

KILLAM: That was a VERY solid match – to the point where I'm not sure the obligatory PPV match they are obviously building to will be better. There's already been a chair introduced, and this micro-feud hasn't made it off Main Event yet, so that's a good indication we'll get some sort of No DQ match at Payback. More importantly, Cesaro is going to be over HUGE in England next week, and Sheamus is gonna get the s— boo'd out of him.

A good show tonight. Every segment had character and story development. Well done WWE!
