WWE NXT Results

May 22, 2014

Report by Mike Killam for Wrestlezone.com

-Last week on NXT, general manager JBL told Bo Dallas he could have another shot at the NXT Championship if he could beat Big E. However, if he loses, he'll have to pack his bags and leave for good.

-Bo Dallas starts this week's show by coming out to the ring and telling the fans to never stop Bo-leaving. He says he will never go anywhere, or leave them, and humbly accepts the title of "Mr. NXT".

Loser Leaves Town

Bo Dallas vs. Big E

The fans seem to remember the "five" gimmick, as they're chanting it for the former champ. Big E over-powers his opponent, so Bo takes a powder on the outside. Big E follows him, and gets tossed into the ring steps. This sets up Dallas to take control with rest holds for the next five minutes. About five people in the crowd start doing Bray Wyatt's "he's got the whole world" song, which sounds a lot louder in a small building.

Langston builds up steam and runs through Dallas with a big shoulder breaker. He gets a few more, a clothesline and sets up for the Big Ending – Bo counters with a neckbreaker. He tries for Spike Dudley's old Acid Drop, but Big E catches him with a belly-to-belly suplex. Bo with a double underhook DDT, but Langston kicks out "unexpectedly". Bo gets frustrated and takes the padding off one of the turnbuckles, but Big E tosses him off of it, and hits the Big Ending for the 1-2-3.

Winner: Big E

-After the bell, Big E leaves and Bo Dallas is left crying like a baby and screaming at the fans that he can't leave. They do the old "na na na na" chant. He's actually drooling. During a commercial break, Bo tells the fans they didn't Bo-leave, and that they should leave. They actually start copying him, word-for-word.

KILLAM: That match was terrible. The crowd was largely dead, save for a few mark chants. I blame recording a month at a time – this was probably one of the last things they saw, and it just wasn't good enough to expect anything different. It's a good thing 2 million people aren't watching NXT, because I wouldn't want to watch either on the main roster. Slow, sloppy, nothing interesting, no reaction, etc. Sorry guys.
