The latest on Daniel Bryan's in-ring return to WWE is still questionable at best. The original thought is that Bryan would be returning at some point in June, in time to work a "Buried Alive" match with Kane at the WWE Money In The Bank pay-per-view. However, it's still unknown whether he'll be ready by then.
The Wrestling Observer is reporting that the few WWE live events in June that have been advertising Daniel Bryan in matches might have been done before his surgery. Generally, WWE will have the venues take those promotions down, but it's likely those went unnoticed and slipped through the cracks.
The general consensus is that it's highly unlikely Daniel Bryan will work any matches between now and Money In The Bank, even if he's technically cleared to do so.
If he's unable to work the MITB pay-per-view, it's expected the "Buried Alive" match will be pushed to WWE Battleground on July 20th out of Tampa.
As seen on RAW, Stephanie McMahon told Bryan that he had to surrender the WWE World Heavyweight Championship this Sunday at Payback or else his wife Brie Bella would be fired from the company. It was worth noting that Brie recently hinted in an interview that she wanted to start a family, leading some to believe she might be taking time off at some point.
