6/3 WWE Main Event Results: RVD vs. Bad News Barrett for the Intercontinental Championships, Goldust Gets Another New Partner

Bad News Barrett (c) vs. Rob Van Dam

Barrett is cocky off his win at Sunday, at RVD takes advantage by kicking him in the face. The champ rolls to the outside, by Van Dam comes off the apron with a senton dive. They brawl around the ring for a count of 7 until rolling back in; RVD picks up a two-count. As they go into a short commercial break, Rob is in control with punches in the corner. 

Barrett is back in control after the break, picking apart the challenger with rights and lefts and kicks. He hangs him up in the ropes and pounds away as the referee tries to get him to stop. Barrett sets him up for a big boot off the top rope, but misses and crotches himself. Van Dam with a shoulder block, then a clothesline, followed by a kick to the side of the head. He connects with Rolling Thunder for a two-count. RVD starts to fire away with kicks to the side, but is caught with the Winds of Change for a nearfall. 

Both guys are back to their feet, hammering away with rights and lefts. RVD catches him with a kick to the side of the head, and leaps to the top turnbuckle, motioning for the Five Star. Barrett gets to his feet and kicks the ropes out from under him, saving the match. He sets up for the Bullhammer, but Cesaro comes out of nowhere and attacks the champion. He hits Barrett with the Neutralizer, then RVD with the Neutralizer, and the referee calls for the bell. 

Results: No Contest

-Cesaro stands tall on the entrance ramp with Paul Heyman, looking over his victims as Main Event goes off the air.
