At last word, WWE had not penciled in a Brock Lesnar vs Daniel Bryan WWE World Title match at SummerSlam, despite the bout making sense on paper.
There was, however, an idea discussed which would have seen Lesnar win the title at the big PPV this summer, only to drop it the same night to Cesaro who would be cashing in his Money in the Bank contract.
In an update to this developing story, word coming from backstage in WWE this week is that a Brock Lesnar vs Daniel Bryan SummerSlam match is now one of the top long-term plans for this summer's PPV, but it all depends on Daniel Bryan's current health.
There is obviously concern in WWE as to when Daniel Bryan will indeed be medically cleared to return to action, which is of course why they made the big WWE World Title announcement for Money in the Bank on Raw this week.
It looks like as of now, if Daniel Bryan vs Brock Lesnar does in fact take place at SummerSlam, then Brock Lesnar vs Cesaro will be a feud which takes place after SummerSlam, as part of Cesaro's big babyface turn.
