The original plan for a Brock Lesnar vs. Daniel Bryan title match at WWE SummerSlam has been changed, according to The Wrestling Observer. While it's unknown at this time if Daniel Bryan will be ready to compete by then or not, The Observer report is claiming that Lesnar vs. Bryan for the WWE Championship is almost certainly not happening either way.
If Daniel Bryan is able to return by SummerSlam, it's being said that he'll likely work one of the main events, but Lesnar will go on to face the WWE Champion, which will most likely be whoever wins the MITB ladder match on June 29.
Night of Champions in September is the event Daniel Bryan would be expected to return at if he can't make SummerSlam next month.
It's also worth noting that Daniel Bryan has been promoted locally for live events in California in mid-August, but WWE has not added him to those events on their website.
