IMG_1934Just moments ago, Michael Elgin defeated Adam Cole to become the new Ring of Honor World Champion, in the main event of the company's live debut on PPV, "Best in the World".

The match featured everything from nearfalls to a referee bump, to interference from Matt Hardy, Michael Bennett and Maria Kanellis, to a surprise appearance by up-and-coming ROH talents Hanson and Rowe, to the return of top independent women's wrestler MsChif.

This ends Adam Cole's title reign at 275 days, with Elgin becoming Ring of Honor's 20th world champion.
