Chris Jericho Talks How His WWE Return Came to Be, Hiding Out Before Raw, How the Return Deal Was Done & More

chris jerichoOn the latest edition of his "Talk is Jericho" podcast, Chris Jericho revealed details about his WWE return on Raw this week. The entire podcast can be heard at this link, and below are some highlights:

Jericho said his priority remains his band Fozzy, but when he feels he can come back to WWE, and he has ideas for a return, then he will.

In the past, Jericho wanted to work with Daniel Bryan and/or Bray Wyatt, but they were already booked in feuds for WrestleMania 30.

Jericho revealed he got a call about a month ago from a WWE creative team member who had an idea for a Jericho return. When the writer said the idea involved Bray Wyatt, Jericho was into it, so he sent WWE the dates he was free this summer. About three weeks went by and Jericho then got the call by WWE this past Friday, for a return on Monday. He said the entire return deal took about 5 minutes with Triple H.

Jericho said he flew to Boston in order to keep his return a secret, and he drove to Hartford. He waited until fans left the arena entrance area before he drove in, then he hid out in a production truck for about 4 hours. He went over his return ideas with Dean Malenko, then went over a few things with Wyatt and The Miz.
