New WWE Linear Champion
The WWE Linear Championship is not an official title, but rather a fun concept invented by our friends at VoicesofWrestling.com. The essential gimmick is that, much like the world of boxing and MMA, non-title matches do not exist, and anytime a champion loses a match by pinfall, submission or via a special stipulation added to the match, the winner becomes the new champion. You can check out the list of WWE Linear Champions at the link above – it ranges all the way back to Buddy Rogers WWWF Championship win in 1963.
Kofi Kingston is currently the WWE Linear Champion, as he defeated Cesaro on this week’s Monday Night Raw.
