Another Classic WrestleMania Arena in Danger of Closing Down

Randy SavageLast week we reported that the Houston Astrodome, the location of WrestleMania X-Seven, was in line for demolition in the near future. Now reports are coming in that Trump Plaza, which played host to both WrestleMania IV and WrestleMania V, is in danger of closing its doors. Layoffs are expected to begin soon, with the building officially closing on September 16th.

Trump Plaza is perhaps one of the most historic arenas in WWE’s history. WrestleMania IV featured the tournament that would crown Randy Savage the WWF Champion in 1988, and of course Hulk Hogan would win the title from Savage the next year.

According to a new report by USA Today, Atlantic City is in danger of laying off 1/4th of their casino workers, and losing over 1/3rd of their city’s casinos, as Trump Plaza would be just one in a long list of establishments that have shut down.
