Why WWE is Loading Up the Hogan/Flair Live Event
As we reported yesterday, WWE is loading up its August 16th live event as Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair will be hosting the show, and the card is stacked with matches like John Cena vs Kane in a Street Fight and Chris Jericho vs Bray Wyatt with Ric Flair as the special guest referee.
According to F4WOnline.com, the reason why WWE is loading up this card is because the show will kickoff WrestleMania 31 tickets sales.

The Latest on Ric Flair’s Current Role in WWE
As we reported yesterday, it appears as if WWE doesn’t have any concrete plans for Ric Flair at the moment, and as a result he was pulled from this week’s Smackdown tapings. PWInsider.com reports Flair was originally scheduled to appear at the show, which emanated from Fayetteville, North Carolina, but when the show was re-written Tuesday morning the decision was made not to bring Flair in for the show.
Flair has signed a new deal with WWE, and is officially “back” with the company, but as of now his TV appearances are scheduled to be sporadic, and he will appear now and then leading up to SummerSlam and beyond.
Paglino: I think it’s a wise move on WWE’s part to use Flair on a part-time basis as opposed to having him appear on TV every week. When used occasionally, Flair’s appearances feel more important, which is more beneficial to story lines.
How do you prefer Flair be used? Would you like to see him paired up with a specific wrestler?
