WWE Battleground Results (7/20) – Usos vs Wyatts, Jericho vs Bray, Fatal 4 Way WWE Title Match!

Seth Rollins cuts a promo about how he’s smiling, and he’s not worried because he is going to give Dean Ambrose the answer he has wanted. Ambrose runs in and attacks him, then some referees pull them apart and Triple H has Ambrose thrown out before he checks on Rollins who is getting up off the ground.

Paige vs AJ Lee (c)

Paige shakes AJ’s hand before throwing her in the corner and stomping her, then she knees AJ in the face a few times before getting a near fall. Paige throws her outside and hits her a few times, then she heads up top and AJ punches her a few times. Paige comes back with a sunset powerbomb for two, and Paige looks shocked as she tries to pull AJ across the ring. AJ kicks her and puts her in the Black Widow, then Paige struggles to fight out before finally breaking it with a hiptoss. She hits a Paige Turner for two, then AJ rolls her up for two before she catches her with a Shining Wizard for the win.

Winner – AJ Lee

BP: This was a bit shorter than I expected, but it was very dramatic and made Paige look great. Not taking anything away from AJ, who was great as always, but Paige got to shine early on and showed her disbelief as she couldn’t put this one away. I’m looking forward to another one from these two.

Randy Orton finds Kane in the boiler room and asks him to talk to him, but Kane says he really shouldn’t be there. Orton says things got out of hand Monday, but he just wanted to apologize. Orton asks Kane if he has something to say, but Kane says he’s the devil’s favorite demon and he apologizes for nothing. Kane stares at Orton and says he will fare just fine, then Orton says they need to take on their enemies, John Cena and Roman Reigns, together. Kane says he can assure Orton that both of their opponents will lose, and the new champion is standing right there, subtly implying himself.
