Exclusive: Backstage Update on Why Rollins vs Ambrose Did Not Happen Last Night, Current Summerslam Plans and Stipulation Expected

top wwe starAccording to a WWE source, the reason why the Dean Ambrose vs Seth Rollins match never officially happened last night was because the writers had been pitching that the SummerSlam match between the two be advertised as the first time ever on PPV. Even though they are having matches on house shows, the writers are of the opinion holding off their first official match is a big selling point for Summerslam.

Summerslam now features Cena vs Brock which presumably will be made tonight, Jericho vs Bray Wyatt, Roman Reigns vs Randy Orton or HHH, AJ vs Paige, Stephanie McMahon vs Brie Bella, and Rollins vs Ambrose, with a stipulation to be added.
