TNA Star Signs Contract Extension, How Many Were Fired From WWE Today?

DJ Zema Ion Signs TNA Extension

TNA has announced a multi-year contract extension with Michael Paris, aka DJ Zema Ion. John Gaburick made the announcement on Twitter this afternoon.

Zema Ion made his TNA debut in 2011 on an episode of Impact Wrestling, where he defeated two other try-out stars in a qualifying match for an X-Division tournament. The following year he won his first major singles title – the TNA X-Division Championship – after Austin Aries used “Option C”, trading in the belt to get a shot at the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. After an injury in 2013, Ion returned as “DJZ”, accompanying the BroMans as their personal DJ, and eventually as an active member of their team.

WWE Layoffs Update

F4WOnline.com is reporting that an estimate of 55 people were let go from WWE today, or about 7% of their overall workforce. It’s not exactly “good news”, but that is down slightly from the 10% estimate we were hearing earlier this week.
