Yesterday’s WWE Layoffs Get Mainstream Press Coverage

CNN Moneysting wrestling in wwe has posted an article covering yesterday’s WWE layoffs, which saw a total of about 60 people lose their jobs with the company.

In the article, a WWE spokesperson confirmed the layoffs took place yesterday, and impacted all of WWE’s business units and locations. The company cut about 7-10% of its staff, and WWE’s headcount is around 850 people.

Backstage News on Fan Interest in Sting Wrestling in WWE

According to F4WOnline.com, backstage word in WWE is there is much higher fan interest in Sting heading to WWE following the WWE 2k15 announcement than there was when The Ultimate Warrior was announced for WWE 2k14.

The feeling is Sting is a much more current name than Warrior was at the time, and fans feel more confident that Sting could wrestle a few matches in WWE, whereas Warrior wrestling was an unlikely possibility.
