More Details on Surprising WWE Employee Release
As we reported yesterday, veteran WWE timekeeper and production team member Mark Yeaton was released from WWE after decades of employment with the company.
In addition to being the timekeeper in WWE, Yeaton was also responsible for ordering and maintaining materials used for the WWE rings and other logistics.
Steve Austin and Jim Ross posted the following on Twitter following Yeaton’s release:
Austin: “#Swigofbeer to my old beer thrower @WWETimekeeper Mark Yeaton. Best damn beer thrower in the world and great guy.”
Jim Ross: “Very disappointed….sad.”
Decision Coming Soon Regarding SD! Time Slot Change
With regards to Smackdown potentially moving to Thursday night’s, a WWE source has confirmed that talks to move the show from Friday are ongoing, however a final decision has yet to be made. The fall TV schedule needs to be set very soon, so a decision as to whether or not Smackdown will change time slots should be coming imminently.
WWE maintains someone in the company jumped the gun and changed the advertisement on the production truck, because Syfy has yet to lock in its fall schedule.
