What is WWE’s Stance On Hulk Hogan as a Wrestler in the Company?

hulk hoganAs we reported yesterday, Hulk Hogan claims he is training for another in-ring match in WWE, and he has noted in several interviews that he wants to face John Cena.

According to The Wrestling Observer, WWE considers Hogan to be a retired in-ring performer whose contract with the company is in a PR/Ambassador capacity. Hogan has guaranteed money for a certain amount of dates, and outside of that he is not exclusive to WWE and can call his own shots as it pertains to outside endeavors.

Paglino: I’m probably in the minority here, but if Hogan can in fact get himself back into decent ring shape, I am all for him wrestling one final WWE match against John Cena. Of course I don’t want to see the bout headlining WrestleMania, but if he can pull it off, Hogan deserves a sendoff match against the company’s top guy.
