Top ROH Stars Invade Japan
Ring of Honor sent some of their top stars to Japan this weekend to participate in New Japan Pro Wrestling’s G1 Climax finals event at the Seibu Dome.
Former ROH World Champion Adam Cole teamed up with Mike Bennett to take on Jushin Liger and Captain New Japan. Former WWE Diva Maria Kanellis was ringside for the match. ROH Tag Team Champions Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish were also in action against IWGP Jr. Tag Team Champions Alex Shelley and KUSHIDA.
Also competing from the U.S. – although not specifically for Ring of Honor – were former WWE Superstar Shelton Benjamin, IWGP World Champion AJ Styles, Lance Archer and Davey Boy Smith Jr., and “Machine Gun” Karl Anderson. As we reported earlier this weekend, Jeff Jarrett also made an appearance and aligned himself with the Bullet Club faction.
