Summerslam Ticket Prices Drop
The article states the secondary market will feature the lowest ticket prices in four years, and Summerslam is easier to analyze than other pay-per-views because it is held in the same building annually. The Staples Center in Los Angeles has hosted ‘the biggest party of the summer’ every year since 2009.
Forbes also notes that the average ticket price has dropped nearly $8, and it is the lowest since 2011. They insinuate this drop could be because of financial trouble in WWE, but also because of lack of variety in both the venue and matches. Either John Cena or Brock Lesnar, this year’s main event participants, have been in a singles match main event at Summerslam each year for the past four years.
Sting Making Rare NYC Appearance
“The Icon” Sting is being advertised for an appearance at ‘The Big Event’ in New York on November 8th.
The Big Event’s website is currently selling several ticket package to meet Sting, with many options for photographs and autographs. For more information, including how to purchase the various tiered meet and greet packages, click here.
BP: Sting has been making headlines for a few weeks now since agreeing to a deal to appear in the WWE 2K15 video game. He also made an appearance at a WWE Comic Con panel and on IGN.com, promoting Mattel action figures for the former, and the WWE video game for the latter. The lastest news saw the reveal of the new WWE Sting DVD cover, which you can view by clicking here. This is all great press for the company and their merchandise; I haven‘t heard a negative yet.
