Major Changes Made to Raw Script

WWE Raw It’s been reported that the original plans for the Wyatt Family this week on WWE Raw called for Bray Wyatt to interfere in a tag match between the Family and the team of Mark Henry and the Big Show. Bray was going to attack Big Show and reposition himself as a dominate player on the roster. Obviously, those plans were re-written at the last minute, leading to Cena beating the entire Wyatt Family to close out the show. We also reported that it was Vince McMahon himself who made all the changes to Cena’s Raw segments.

There were several other last-minute changes and additions to the script as well. The well-received Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman video package was original going to air on next week’s show (9/1) but was moved up. Cesaro was also supposed to face Jack Swagger for a shot at the US title, and instead the match was changed to Rusev vs. Swagger in a SummerSlam rematch, and Cesaro facing Rob Van Dam

Bray Wyatt Inspired by New Japan Star

It was noted in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Bray Wyatt studies the work of New Japan Pro Wrestling star Shinsuke Nakamura for inspiration. It was also said that among the talents in the WWE Locker room, Wyatt and Cesaro were following the G1 Climax tournament when it was happening.

KILLAM: This won’t mean a lot to most of our viewers, but if you follow New Japan, you know Wyatt using Nakamura for inspiration makes a LOT of sense.
