According to The Wrestling Observer, despite Dixie Carter informing TNA talent she feels the company will have a new TV deal in place by the beginning of next year, there remains much uncertainty regarding how the landscape of TNA might change if and when a new TV deal is reached.
A number of people within TNA feel the company will continue to operate next year, however whether or not it continues to operate as is, or as a bare-bones skeleton company, or a top level indy company, remains unknown depending on possible budget changes as a result of a new TV deal.
As we have been reporting for the past couple weeks, numerous top talent contracts have either already expired or are expiring soon, including names like Bully Ray, Samoa Joe, Kurt Angle, Gail Kim and Austin Aries. TNA not offering significant new deals to top talents like Bully Ray and Samoa Joe is being taken as a sign that TNA has serious doubts regarding its future even if it’s able to secure a new TV deal.
