Los Matadores Cut Cartoonish Promos For WWC Appearance, WWE Possibly Looking At New Projects For WWE Network, New Series Debut Date

New Projects For WWE NetworkLos Matadores Cut Cartoonish Promos

It was previously reported that the WWE tag team Los Matadores would be working the WWC anniversary show; part of the deal in their WWE contracts allows them to work some WWC events.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that the Matadores, Diego and Fernando, sent some promos to WWC to hype the show on Puerto Rican television and they were of a cartoonish nature. The pair used fake accents and claimed to be from Spain, eventhough it’s well known that Eddie and Orlando Colon are the two playing the team.

Some people thought the fans will turn on the team for cutting a bad promo, as well as pretending they are from another country.

WWE issued a Fan Council Survey this week to measure potential fan interest on new shows on the WWE Network. Possible future projects include:

– Fantasy Matches, such as Big Show vs Andre the Giant, with expert analysis

– Defining Moments (Hulk Hogan joining the nWo)

– History of WWE documentary (like the Monday Night Wars format)

– Love Affairs & Romantic Relationships in WWE history (Matt Hardy & Lita, Macho Man & Miss Elizabeth)

– WWE Blooper reels

– Superstar Lifestyles, showing Superstars out the ring and at home

The report noted that none of the series have been green lit, and there is no timetable to begin filming or production. A new series, however, will be airing soon, as WWE Rivals will debut on the WWE Network on October 14th.
