Savio Vega Leaving WWC
Savio Vega has officially parted ways with the WWC promotion out of Puerto Rico. He posted the following on Facebook:
“The rumors are truth. I’m no longer associated with WWC. Good luck at Aniversario. Remember, the best is yet to come because nothing is what it seems like. Simply put, my way or the highway.”
The 50-year-old star is expected to start with WLL (also in Puerto Rico) soon.
Vega was a member of the WWE roster between 1993 and 1998, and is controversially regarded as a former Intercontinental Champion by some, although WWE itself does not recognize his title run. He also had a brief run as a trainer for TNA, where he worked closely with the Knockouts, and was later brought in alongside Jeff Jarrett and Dutch Mantell (Zeb Colter) to train the Indian wrestlers of Ring Ka King.
