WWE Smackdown On Thursday
PWInsider is reporting WWE Smackdown on Thursday nights will still happen, according to their WWE sources.
We ran a report earlier today regarding the schedule change; Syfy’s new series 12 Monkeys, will premiere on Friday, January 16th at 9pm. This obviously creates a conflict with Smackdown, and it’s being said that Smackdown will be moved after the NFL season concludes.
It was speculated that the NFL games could have influence on WWE or Syfy’s decision, as well as TNA and Spike’s decision to move Impact to Wednesday nights.
The new night is not confirmed yet, but most believe the new Thursday night spot is a given. The feeling was that WWE was ready to move the show, but delayed it once CBS picked up the deal for the NFL games. Previously, the Thursday night games aired on NFL Network.
