Backstage Update on Kurt Angle Staying With TNA, Negotiations Between TNA and Spike TV

PWInsider.com is reporting that Kurt Angle has still not signed a new deal with TNA.

Angle had been in discussions with WWE about a return, but reports claim that the two are far away on a deal to bring him back to the company.

Kurt Angle is also believed to be wanting a part-time deal with TNA, something along the lines of a 12 month or 18 month deal. This will allow Angle to work and focus on projects outside of wrestling.

TNA Remaining on Spike TV

There is a strong feeling within TNA that the company will end up staying on Spike TV. This would mean that Impact will be getting less money than their previous deal and will have to settle for what Spike TV wants to give them.

A Spike TV source has confirmed that the two are still in discussions and that they have continued to make progress.
