TNA Impact Wrestling Results

November 5th 2014

Report by Bill Pritchard for Wrestlezone.com

Kurt Angle starts the show off by saying tonight is a big show because they have a new world champion, and he welcomes Bobby Roode to the ring. Roode talks about how he loves wrestling and this title means he is the best, then Lashley,MVP and King cut him off and enter the ring. MVP calls Roode a sorry excuse for a competitor, and he says Lashley gets booed for being dominant, but Roode gets cheered for getting help from Kurt Angle. MVP says he deserves a title shot because an injury is the only reason he’s not champion, and he wants Roode to give him a title shot. Lashley doesn’t look too happy about MVP shortchanging him, then Roode agrees to the title match and Kurt says he likes where this is going.

Tag Team Tournament Finals

The Hardys vs Samoa Joe & Low Ki

Ki and Joe attack Matt in the corner and hit him several times, then Joe kicks Matt in the face before Ki hits a springboard shin kick for two. Matt makes a comeback and connects with a elbow off the ropes, then Jeff assists with a double reverse wheelbarrow slam for two. Jeff slams Ki in the corner and connects with a kick, then Joe stomps him as we go to a break. We get back to see Jeff hit Whisper in the Wind, then both men get tags and Matt hits Ki with some clotheslines and some forearm shots. Ki goes for a clothesline but Matt counters with a Side Effect for two, then he punches Joe in the corner and hits a bulldog while also clotheslining Ki.

Matt slams Joe down and heads up top, but Ki crotches him on the ropes and puts him in tree of woe position, then connects with Warrior’s Way for two. Jeff breaks it up and takes Ki down with a front suplex, then he sets up for Poetry in Motion but Joe hooks his arms and Ki tries to steal a rollup. Joe runs in and tries to take Jeff out but Matt breaks it up, and he calls for a Twist of Fate but Joe counters with a Coquina Clutch. Jeff breaks it up with a Swanton onto both men, then Ki blocks a Twist of Fate before setting up a Ki Crusher. Jeff blocks in and Matt helps with Poetry in Motion, then he hits a Swanton and Matt follows with a moonsault for the win.
