Update on Crowd Chants Edited Out During WWE RAW Last Night, WWE Supporting Hire Heroes USA for Veteran’s Day (Video)

Crowd Edits for WWE RAW

raw reactionWhile the English crowd certainly came across as rowdy last night for Monday Night RAW, there was still a heavy amount of editing that had to be done from the live version on TV.

During the Authority’s entrance in the opening segment, there was a loud “Where’s Our Network?” chant, but that had been going on since before RAW went on the air, and a few fans even noted to me that it happened in parking lots and various places in the arena as well. The UK fans were rightfully upset at the last-minute WWE Network delay, and have been vocal about it all the European tour stops this week.

John Cena did manage to curb those chants during his opening monologue, and the Authority drew heat for other reasons, which seemed to kill the chant for the most part for the remainder of the night. While a few CM Punk chants made it to air, notably during the AJ Lee vs. Brie Bella match, we’re told more were edited out.

It’s also likely that when fans appeared to be chanting “E-C-W”, in particular during the Sheamus vs. Rusev match on WWE RAW last night, they were actually chanting for “I-C-W”, the popular Insane Championship Wrestling promotion in Glasgow. That seemed to confuse a lot of people on social media last night, as there was no particular reason to start chanting for ECW, and the WWE Network wasn’t being advertised at the show at all, for obvious reasons, despite it being “ECW Week”.
