WWE Provides Storyline Update on Sheamus Following RAW Attack, Authority Forces Ryback into Match on This Week’s Smackdown

Authority Forces Ryback into Action

Per the order of the Authority, Ryback will forced to compete on this week’s episode of WWE Smackdown. His opponent has not been named yet, but we will have complete spoiler coverage of this week’s show following tonight’s Main Event and Smackdown taping event.

Storyline Update on Sheamus

sheamusDuring tonight’s WWE Main Event on the WWE Network, Michael Cole provided a storyline update on Sheamus, after he was attacked by the Authority and put through a table by Mark Henry.

Cole noted that Sheamus had a “stinger” in his arm, and showed signs of bone spurring, narrowing of the spinal canal, and increased pressure to his neck. It was not announced how much time he will take off, but they have promised an update on his condition by next week’s RAW.

Sheamus will not be competing at this Sunday’s Survivor Series PPV.

KILLAM: Unless Henry actually injured him, it’s very obvious this was a bait-and-switch to get Sheamus out of the Survivor Series main event. It’s hard to understand this tactic given that Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns are already injured, Orton is filming a movie, and Lesnar as WWE Champion is nowhere to be seen. I can’t imagine intentionally putting another person on the shelf when the well is already running dry.
